Crystal Creek Meadows leads in sustainability

Crystal Creek Meadows Luxury Cottages and Spa Retreat in Kangaroo Valley has become the first tourism operator in NSW to have successfully completed the Climate Action accreditation program to tackle the affects of climate change. Climate Action is operated by EcoTourism Australia.

Crystal Creek Meadows sustainability achievements include:

  • cut in energy use by over 40 per cent
  • uses only 100 per cent accredited green renewable energy
  • cut landfill waste by 20 per cent
  • offers guests offset options
  • cut overall CO2 footprint from 50 tonnes per annum to 14 tonnes per annum
  • offset CO2 balance through a program of tree planting with the double benefit of improving the biodiversity of the property and rehabilitating frog habitat
